Peak skincare is a plastic free family business
We're a family business and we've always been about sustainability, healthy living and caring for the planet. We believe that it's more important now than ever.
We believe that green alternatives are the solution to many of the problems we currently face and we weren't happy with the limited options out there for ethical and sustainable skin care, so we decided we had to create our own.
We're proud to say we are both sustainable and plastic free! Now you can look after your skin, whilst looking after the planet.
Christine Tilbury - Founder
'I am delighted to say that this range is not only cruelty free and completely natural but the company is plastic free and the pots are 100% compostable too!'
My love of living a plant based life began in the mid 1970’s. Finding veggie food was a challenge, even in London, but even trickier was finding cruelty free skincare. So I began to experiment, making simple lotions and my own lipsticks.
40 years later and having spent over 15 years training professional chefs to create imaginative plant based dishes, I have achieved the goal of developing my own skincare range.
I now live and work in the Peak District National Park where natural beauty, fresh air and panoramic views provide the perfect setting for the creative development process.
We’re inspired by the Peak District
...and that inspiration goes into all of our products.
Our entire range is named after real places in the Peak District and the colours we've used reflect those you can see throughout the National Park.
Sam Walker - Photographer and Designer
Ike Walker - Filmmaker
Ike and Sam form the Peak Skincare creative team and also double as Christine's sons. Sam does all the wonderful photography that you see on the site and designs our labels, whilst Ike creates our video content. Between them they manage the website and come up with a lot of ideas!
Both love the Peak District - Sam is a keen climber and landscape photographer and Ike loves cycling and hiking, so what better place to be! Both Sam and Ike are lifelong vegetarians and are passionate about sustainability and work with charities in the sustainability and wildlife conservation sectors.
